Read “Why You Were Perfectly Fine”, a short story by Dorothy Parker. Not everyone who reads this story will find any meaning in it. To understand the story perfectly, you must either be married to a drunkard, living with a drunkard, is a drunkard or at least have been totally drunk at least once in your lifetime.
This story makes no sense to someone who has not gone through the dreadful “next morning experience” of making a big fool out themselves in a public place and right in front or their spouse or love one. Yes, it the feeling of wanting to go jump over the tallest building in the world happens the morning after. No justifications in the world that you can think off will over-ride that shame and guilt that you have brought upon yourself.
One good thing will come out of this though.
You will be sober cat for the next 6 months, more or less.
